Homemade Apple Butter in your Crock Pot

I have grown up with apple butter from my grandmother, and the homemade recipe is so easy and better than store bought. You can put all the ingredients in your slow cooker over night and wake up to an amazing smell in your home the next day!

6 lbs. apples – peeled, cored, and sliced (I used Gala)
1.5 cups water
1.5 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
.5 tsp allspice
1.5 cups water
1.5 cups sugar

1. Peel. core and chop your apples.
2. Place all ingredients in the crock pot and mix well, making sure all the apples are coated with the spices.
