Homemade Chocolate Cupcakes with Frosting – 12 decadent chocolate cupcakes with an equally delicious homemade frosting.

1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg,slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
