Homemade Chocolate Sauce

I’m in such big trouble. First of all, it’s summer & all I want is ice cream. Plus, it’s summer & I’m in need of wearing maternity shorts. Ugh, the combination is far from sexy. I guess if I was really honest, there’s not really a season in which I don’t crave the sweet creamy stuff, but it is especially more fitting when the temps start to reach those sweaty, still numbers. We don’t really keep ice cream around the house too often because otherwise every night = dessert after dinner at

3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (I used dark chocolate!)
1 1/4 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, or more to taste
1 pinch of salt

Tuna Casserole:
8 ounces wide egg noodles
5 tablespoons butter (unsalted)
5 tablespoons flour
2 1/2 cups milk (2%)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
1 cup shredded white cheddar
2 pouches tuna in water
