Store bought barbecue sauces are fine but homemade ones are much better. Take a look at my easy to follow recipe for a delicious honey barbecue sauce recipe that can be used on beef or pork ribs, pork loin, chicken, pulled pork, burgers, hotdogs, with beans, in chili or as a dipping sauce and many other items and meats. It is made with sautéed onion and garlic, ketchup, honey, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, liquid smoke, chili powder and pepper.

1/4 cup peanut oil
1/4 cup of butter
1 medium white onion, finely diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup of ketchup
1/3 cup of water
1/4 cup of honey
1 teaspoon of liquid smoke
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon of chili powder
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 cup of butter
