149

I still remember those days when we would run around the house chasing the warm soothing aroma of my mom's daal; we would do anything that my our mother asked just to enjoy that delicious daal she made for lunch. Indian daal is the one of the staple dishes that is cooked in every indian home. There are many kinds of daals that people make but at our home we have enjoyed the toor daal the most. This daal is made of a lentil called toor and is very commonly found in local indian grocery store
