You don’t often sit down to tea with your friends anymore. We are a society that is always on the go, especially if we have kids. Every tea party needs fantastic treats, and these thumbprint style Jelly Shortbreads are the perfect addition to finger sandwiches and your favorite tea blends.

2 C (1 lb) butter, softened
4 C flour
1 1/2 C (12 oz) jelly or jam

Heat oven to 275 degrees F.
Cream the sugar, salt, vanilla, and butter together until smooth.
Slowly add the flour in, mixing each addition until completely incorporated.
