28

A layered wheat flat bread that tastes good with almost every gravy curry.

4
Wheat flour - 1 cup
Ghee - 5 table spoons
Salt - 2 tsp
Water as required
Step 1 Sieve salt and wheat flour together so that there are no lumps. Add ghee to it. With the help of water, make a dough. Don't knead a very soft dough. Let it be bit stiff. Let this dough rest for 15-20 minutes. Step 2 Roll out as thin sheets as you can out of the dough prepared (step1). Brush some ghee on the sheet and start making the fleets now (for reference see pic). Step 3 After its done, roll it around to make a small ball. Be careful while rolling. See the layers are still there. Start making the sheet (chapati) once again. Don't make a very thin sheet. Step 4. Heat a tawa (a flat pan). Cook the both sides of sheets (chapati) prepared on a medium flame. Apply little ghee on both sides while its still on pan. Serve with your favourite gravy curry.
