Lemon and Poppy Seed Loaf! This is truly a delightful cake. The flavours are gentle, the cake is soft and moist and of course looks so pretty with the addition of poppy seeds sprinkled throughout the cake. All you need to do once you have baked this cake is sit down with a slice and have a lovely cup of tea! Once you've tried this recipe, I am sure you will make it time and time again. So here's the recipe, and enjoy!

175 g or 3/4 cup softened butter
175 ml or 3/4 cup milk
200 g or 1 cups regular sugar
3 eggs (lightly beaten)
3 Tablespoons Poppy Seeds
Grated Zest & Juice of 1/2 Lemon
225 g or 1 3/4 cups Plain / All purpose flour (sieved)
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
