Lemon Pound Cake with Berry Sauce

A moist, dense lemon pound cake perfect to have on hand for surprise guests - so much better than it's store bought cousin :)

2? cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
4 eggs, separated
2 cups granulated sugar
¾ cup + 2 tbsp butter, softened
Zest of 2 lemons
½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 cup milk
FOR BERRY SAUCE:
2 cups mixed berries (fresh or frozen)

1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp cornstarch
