Looking for an easy fresh carrot recipe? Look no further then right here. This recipe takes four large carrots, adds the sweetness of maple syrup and makes a perfect side dish for ham or chicken

4 large carrots, peeled and sliced
2 Tablespoons maple syrup
2 Tablespoons honey
1 Tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Splash of whiskey
Slice the carrots. Then steam them in the microwave for 2 minutes, set aside. In a small saucepan, combine the rest of the ingredients until just about boiling. Add the carrots and simmer for 5 minutes....

2 15.5 oz cans diced tomatoes
1 T sugar
2 t fresh thyme leaves
1 dried bay leaf
1/2 t apple cider vinegar
1/2 t Worcestershire sauce
2 c fresh or frozen okra
salt and pepper ( to taste )
