Masala Chai

A spicy, sweet, milky tea that's great to have on cold days.

2 tsp loose leaf tea
2 whole black peppercorns
1 cinnamon stick
1 cardamom pod, slightly crushed
1 slice ginger
1 cup water
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
Bring the water, spices, and tea to a boil. Bring it down to a simmer and let it steep for 3-5 minutes. Add the milk and bring it back to a boil. Take it off the heat and add sugar. Strain it into a mug.
