Truth, I am on a pie kick! Lets be honest, there isn’t anything more American then Apple Pie! No that overly sweet, goopey, mush pie… I’m talking homemade crust, tons of apples piled high and baked to golden perfection! I used the same crust as I did when I made my Homemade Peach Pie last week. Its so simple with just a handful of ingredients and it all comes together in the food processor. For the crust:
8 oz greek yogurt cream cheese, diced
2 sticks cold unsalted butter, small dice
3 cups flour
1/2 cup pure cane sugar
a pinch of salt
approx 3 Tbsp cold water
For the filling:
8-10 granny smith apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup pure cane sugar
1/2 cup flour
3 big Tbsp cinnamon

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
