Don’t be afraid of yeast bread. There is no intimidation with this easy Challah Bread. Soft and great egg flavor. With my simple tips you will be a pro at Bread Baking!

1 1/4 tsp quick rise active dry yeast such as Red Star
1/4 cup warm water
4 tsp sugar divided
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3/4 tsp kosher salt
1 egg
1 1/2 cups bread flour (you can also use AP)
for the topping
