Mom Moms Applesauce Cake

A comfort food applesauce cake with cream cheese frosting.

2 cups sifted flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1 tsp salt
2tsp baking soda
1/2 cup melted margarine
2 cups applesauce
1 cup chopped walnuts ( optional)
1 cup raisins ( optional

Cream cheese frosting 1-2 cans as preferred amount on top.

Sift dry ingredients together . Add melted margarine and applesauce and beat until well blended. Fold in raisins and walnuts. Pour into a greased floured pan. Bake at 350 for 45-50 min until toothpick in center comes out clean. Ice when cake is cooled.
