Mom's Peach Cobbler Dump Cake

My daughter asked me for this recipe the other day, she remembers having it at home when she was growing up and she helped make it when she was old enough to start cooking. Wonderful served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Original recipe makes 1 -9x13 inch cake

2 (16 ounce) cans peaches in heavy syrup
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste
