This family favorite is a quick to assemble version of chili-mac. The use of summer savory really sets this recipe apart.

6 oz. uncooked elbow macaroni, cooked according to pkg. directions
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
2 tbsp. minced dried onions
¼ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper
½ c. green bell pepper, chopped
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes, diced and undrained
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
½ tsp. cumin, ground
1 tsp. chili powder
½ tsp. summer savory
While the pasta is cooking, brown the ground beef in a large skillet and drain. To the beef, add dried onion and bell peppers. Sauté briefly, and then add tomatoes, tomato sauce and spices. Drain pasta and add to skillet. Stir to coat noodles and simmer briefly before serving.
