No Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies

Do your chocolate chip cookies ever come out flat? With this recipe your cookies will always come out fluffy and soft.

1 pound of softened unsalted butter (Yes, one pound)
2 cups of packed brown sugar
2 cups of sugar
4 eggs
2 TBL. Vanilla
3 cups of instant oatmeal
5 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking power
1 12 oz. package of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Combine butter and sugars and cream together.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat until fluffy.
Add vanilla and oatmeal and beat until well mixed.
Sift together flour, soda, salt, and baking powder and gradually combine to wet ingredients.
Stir in the chocolate chips and drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for approximately 8 minutes until golden brown.
