1½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ rounded teaspoon coarse sea salt
1 teaspoon table salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon apple pie spice
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup shortening, I prefer Crisco
1 cup dark brown sugar – packed
½ cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup old-fashioned oats
1 cup quick oats
1 pkg (12 oz) chocolate chips – I use half Ghiradelli milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate
