Oreo Cream Cheese Cookies

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
6 oz cream cheese, room temperature
2 cups granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips
2 cups Oreo crumbles
- Preheat oven to 375, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. - Cream together butter and cream cheese until thoroughly combined. Add sugar and vanilla, mix well. - Add flour one cup at a time and mix on low just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. - Pour Oreo crumbles into a bowl. - Form approx 1.5" balls with the dough and then roll them in the Oreo crumbles, making sure they are coated well. Be sure to cover the dough balls really well in crumbs, as this is what holds the cookie together while baking. - Bake on center rack about 14-15 minutes

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
