Oven Fried Onion Potatoes

Almost as good as the real thing. This is one of our go-to side dish recipes for our diet. They are so delcious with really bold onion flavor. They pair great with hamburgers, pork chops, and other meats. We heat up the leftovers for breakfast the next day! This is a small serving size......would be very easy to increase for larger crowds. 1 lb. frozen shredded hash browns
1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. pepper (optional - to your taste)

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray a nonstick baking pan. I use an 11x7 glass Pyrex dish that works perfectly. Mix all ingredients together. Put in dish and bake for 10 minutes. Stir and then bake for
15-20 minues more OR until potatoes are golden brown.
