Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars

When my son was in 5th grade, his teacher was allergic to peanuts. Since his allergy was so extreme, the kids couldn't even bring a peanut butter sandwich in their lunch bag to class. I love peanut butter, and it is seriously one of the staples of our food supply. I can't imagine not being able to eat it. In making these bars, I just realized how grateful I am that I can enjoy these scrumptious treats! Robin

2 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup butter, softened

1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup coarsely chopped salted peanuts
