Pecan-Crusted Mojito Bars

My Grandmama & Bubby are amazing chefs and bakers. Everything that comes out of their kitchen is nothing short of amazing, and absolutely delicious. This past weekend they whipped up at batch of Pecan-Crusted Mojito Bars, and wow! they were soo good! My personal favorite part of the bars were the pecan crust. This was a new concept to me, and I loved the texture it brought.

1 3/4 C all-purpose flour
1 C chopped pecans
3/4 C granulated sugar
1 C butter, cut into slices
4 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 C granulated sugar
2 tbsp. finely shredded lime peel -- optional
1/2 C lime juice
1/4 C all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. snipped fresh mint -- optional
1/2 tsp. baking powder
