Soft, chewy pumpkin snickerdoodle bars topped with fluffy pumpkin buttercream frosting!

½ C butter, room temperature
¾ C sugar
3 tbsp pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
2½ C all-purpose flour
1½ tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp ginger
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
For the Frosting
½ C butter, softened
2½ – 3 C confectioner’s sugar
3 tbsp pumpkin puree
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
