4 eggs
2 cups heavy cream
3/4 teaspoon salt
pinch each of: sugar, nutmeg, cayenne, black pepper
1 9 inch deep-dish unbaked pie shell
soft butter
12 strips bacon, cooked and coursely crumbled
1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese
1/2 cup grated cheddar/ monteray jack cheese or just cheddar
In a medium bowl, beat together the eggs, cream and sesonings. Rub soft butter over the inside of the pie shell and sprinkle bacon over the bottom. cover with the cheeses and pour egg mixture over all. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake until custard is set, about 30 minutes longer.
