a wonderful rolled out gingerbread recipe...so easy to roll, great for decorating...

201/2 C. AP flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 Tlb ground ginger
1 tsp ground cloves
1/2 C. butter, salted, room temperature
1/4 C. sugar
1/4 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. molasses
1 egg, room temperature
mix together the flour. baking soda, salt, and all the spices. set aside...cream butter, add sugar, and then egg...add molasses..mix until well combined...add the flour mixture in three parts. Mix until just combined, Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 mins...this recipes is really versatile, if you like your cookies crisp, just roll them thinner, A thicker cookie will be a little more chewy... roll out and bake on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Before putting them in the oven put them in the freezer for 5 mins...Bake at 350 for 9-12 minutes depending on size of cookie.
