Rootbeer Roast

I love to use my crock pot for Sunday dinners. I've cooked many roasts in them throughout the years. This recipe uses Rootbeer as a flavoring while cooking. It may sound odd, but I think the rootbeer adds a sweet and buttery flavor to the roast. So if you are looking for a new way to spice up your roast, try this! (You can make a yummy gravy from it too!) -Robin

5 lb roast (I used a rump roast)
32 oz rootbeer (room temperature)
1 bag small carrots (I put them in whole since they are small)
1 onion
Salt and Pepper
2 Tbsp Olive oil

Salt and pepper roast and then brown it in oil till sides are slightly browned.
Put 1/3 of rootbeer into the bottom of crockpot.
Put roast into the crockpot.
Add carrots and onions.
Pour rest of rootbeer...
