Moist chocolate cake filled with a whipped cream/cream cheese filling and then topped with the most wonderful salted caramel frosting!

For the cake:
1 box devil's food cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup oil
3/4 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla

For the cream filling:
1/8 cup sugar
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped

For the Salted Caramel:
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

For the frosting:
2 sticks butter, at room temperature
8 ounces of cream cheese
3/4 cups powdered sugar
1 recipe salted caramel
