Salted Caramel Scones with Mini Milky Way Chocolates

Soft and buttery, with vanilla hints, these scones are stuffed with milky way mini chocolates and topped with a homemade salted caramel sauce.

Scones:
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
? cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, diced + 2 tablespoon for greasing the pan
¾ cup miniature milky way
¾ cup chilled buttermilk
1 large egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
? cup milk
Homemade Caramel Sauce:
1 cup granulated sugar
6 tbsps. unsalted butter, at room temperature and cut up into pieces
½ cup heavy cream
1 tsp. salt
pink Himalayan salt for garnish
