Delicious Sambhar to be served with Idly and Dosa

Boiled Toor Dal Paste – 1 and 1/2 Cup (Toor Dal grind-ed)
Diced Onion/shallots – 1 Big Size/10 Shallots
Pealed Garlic – 8
Diced Tomato – 1 Big Size
Boiled vegetables – 2 Cups (Carrot, potato, drumstick, beans etc.)
Urad Dal – 1/2 Tea Spoon
Jeera – 1/2 Tea Spoon
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 Tea Spoon
Dry Red Chillis – 2
Turmeric Powder – 1 Tea Spoon
Tamarind Paste – 1 Table Spoon
Chopped Coriander Leaves – 1 Table Spoon
Oil – 1 Table Spoon
Salt To Taste
Water – 250 ml
Procedure for Sambar: Take a vessel, heat the oil then add jeera, mustard seeds, urad dal, dry red chillis, curry leaves, pealed garlic. Once above are fried well, add onions and fry them till they become transparent. Add tomato, turmeric powder and salt, mix well then close the lid for 2 minutes till the tomato becomes boiled. Add boiled vegetables, toor dal paste and then mix well. Maintain in low flame. Add tamarind paste and water. Mix it well till everything is boiled 100%. Once boiled, add sambar powder prepared earlier. Mix well in a medium flame for 2 minutes by closing the lid. The Sambar Recipe is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves.
