Savory Cinnamon Rolls

These warm gooey cinnamon rolls will fill your house with a mouth-watering smell as they bake. They're an old family favorite. I'm not sure where the original recipe originated from, but either way they are a crowd favorite! They taste great with a cup of coffee on a cold day!

1 package cook-and-serve vanilla pudding
2 cp. milk
1 stick butter
2 beaten eggs
2 packages yeast (4.5 tsp)
2 Tbs. sugar
1/2 cp. warm water
1/2 Tbs. salt
1 Tbs. almond flavoring
6 1/2 cp. flour
Cinnamon and sugar to taste
1. Cook pudding and milk according to package directions. 2. Add butter and let melt. Stir and cool. 3. Add beaten eggs. 4. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cp. warm water. Add 2 Tbs. sugar. When yeast is foamy, add to other mixture. 5. Add almond flavoring. 6. Stir in 6 cups of flour and salt gradually. 7. Let rise 1 hour then punch down and let rise another 45 minutes. 8. Turn out and knead in 1/2 cp. of flour. Divide dough in half and roll out. 9. Butter and sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up and cut into 1/2 inch slices. 10. Let rise and then bake 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees. 11. Make your favorite frosting to put on top of cooled rolls.
