Sesame Green Beans with Water Chestnuts

This is a great side dish for those that are bored of the same old green beans. There is great flavor and the texture is great!

5 oz mushrooms, sliced (I had 6... mushrooms not ounces lol)
2 teaspoon oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3/4 lb of green beans, ends trimmed
1 small can of sliced water chestnuts (liquid drained)
2 cloves of garlic, pressed
2 tablespoons water
4 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 teaspoons sugar
Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
