Slow Cooker Beer Braised Pot Roast

A tender, flavorful pot roast that is slow cooked in beer all day while you are away

1 beef roast (about 2- 2 1/2 lbs)
Salt & pepper
1-2 tbsp of olive oil
12 oz bottle of beer, room temperature (The darker & more complex the beer you use, the deeper the flavor. I used a bottle of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale.)
3 cloves of garlic, smashed and chopped
1 1b. of potatoes (I used Rose Finn Apple Fingerlings, but any small potatoes will work- I cut some of the larger of the potatoes in half.)
About 2 cups of baby carrots
1 package of dry onion soup mix

Similar to an elevated mimosa, the Blood and Sand cocktail combines fresh blood orange juice, sweet Vermouth and cherry liqueur to create a unique and refreshing cocktail.

Cocktail Ingredients:
1/4 oz Blended Scotch
1/4 oz Blood Orange juice ( Freshly squeezed. Regular orange juice is an okay substitute. )
1/4 oz Cocchi Sweet Vermouth
1/4 oz Heering Cherry liqueur
1 Blood orange ( Peel or slice for garnish )
1 Cherry ( Luxardo or aged )
