3-4 lb beef roast (I used bottom round.)
Salt & pepper
1 1/2 tbsp of olive oil
2 Starbucks Verismo Espresso pods, each brewed twice on the Espresso setting (I used Guatemala Antigua.)
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 medium shallot, finely diced
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
