Slow Cooker Five Spice Pork Roast with Sweet Potatoes

2 large (about 1 1/2 lb.) sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
2 t. salt
1 t. black pepper
1 T. Chinese five spice powder
1 (2 lb.) boneless pork loin roast

For serving:

3 c. instant brown rice, cooked according to package directions
2 T. chili garlic sauce
1/4 c. cilantro, chopped
1/4 c. green onion, sliced

water

1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)
