Slow Cooker Pineapple Glazed Chicken

I use my slow cooker 3-4 times every week and I am always looking for the next best recipe! I came up with this one a couple of weeks ago when I was trying to make dinner using only things in my pantry. It was simple and delicious- I think that next time, I will try it using fresh pineapple!

6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 (20 oz) can pineapple slices, juice reserved
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup cornstarch (could add less if you want sauce to be thinner)
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, more or less depending on heat level you like)
