Sometimes I need dinner and I need it fast. When I say fast, I mean that it's going to be one of those shovel it in kind of nights and dinner needs to be done when we walk through the door. This is one of those recipes. It has saved my family from the convenience of the fast food drive thru on more than one occasion. 1 can chicken broth
1 can cream of corn
1 can corn
1 lb ham or fried bacon (diced) or kielbasa sausage (sliced into quarters)
1 onion, diced
8 potatoes peeled and chopped into 1-in pieces
1 pint half and half
1/4 cup butter

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
