Soft pumpkin cookies with thick and creamy caramel frosting!

Cookies:
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
Frosting:
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup powedered sugar
