Sopapilla Cheesecake

This is so incredibly easy! It is my husbands favorite, it is requested at every family function (on both sides of the family) and I have even been paid from the guys at my husbands work to make it for them. It's just that good!

3 packages (8oz) of cream cheese, softened
2 cups of sugar, divided
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cans crescent rolls (I use the crescent solid sheets)
1 stick of butter/margarine
1 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread one can of crescent rolls in the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking pan. This will be the bottom crust. For the filling: Mix together cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups of the sugar and vanilla until creamy. Spread over the bottom crust. Spread the remaining can of crescent rolls over the filling as the top crust. Pour melted butter over the top crust. Mix remaining 1/2 cup of sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over the top of the butter. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes. Let cool and refrigerate. Better if left overnight.
