Southern Creamed Corn

A slow-cooked sweet corn turned into the perfect, and soon to be your favorite, summer time side dish.

8-9 ears of fresh sweet corn (or 8 cups of frozen sweet corn kernels)
2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 ½ cup heavy cream
½ cup water
8 Tbsp (1 stick) of butter
2 pkgs (8 oz each) of cream cheese, cut into small pieces
Black pepper to taste
Using a serrated edge knife, cut corn away from cob and add to crock pot. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Cook on low 4 – 6 hours. When done, stir and serve with some fresh ground pepper.
