Spicy Black Bean Burger

This hearty spicy black bean burger give you the taste of a hamburger with way less fat! Delicious on a bun or by itself.

Whole wheat buns
4oz Chipotle Cheddar Cheese (my absolute favorite)
1 Tbsp ground cumin
1 Tbsp chili powder
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 can black beans (mash 1/2 & add 1/2 whole) – rinse to reduce the sodium
1 egg
1/2 jalapeño (more or less to taste)
1/4 cup minced onion (optional)
2 cloves garlic
1/4 cup cilantro
1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color will do)
Salt to taste
