Stout Soaked Cherry Chocolate Bread

A yummy sweet bread with stout undertones

12 oz Guiness or other stout beer
6-8 oz dried cherries
1/2 c warm water
2 1/2 t active, dry yeast
1 c Guiness or other stout beer
1/2 c sugar
3 T margarine
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 c whole wheat flour
2 1/2 - 3 c bread flour
1 1/2 T vital wheat gluten
1 t salt
