A wonder dish..goes with almost anything...can be eaten with paranthas/chapatis, as grilled sandwich, as and accomplishment to daal and rice...versatile...

INGREDIENTS

Potatoes. 8 large boiled and cubed
Onion. 2 large sliced
Green chillies. 4 finely sliced
Mustard oil. 6 tbsp
Coriander seeds. 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds. 1 tbsp
Fenugreek seeds. 1/2 tsp
Rai. 2 tbsp
Fennel seeds. 1 1/2 tbsp
Kasoori methi. 1 tbsp
Heeng. A pinch
Salt. As per taste
Chili powder. 1 tsp
Turmeric powder. 1 tsp
Anardana powder. 1 tsp
Kari patta/curry leaves A twig
Lemon juice. 1 tbsp
METHOD Dry sauté coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, half rai, fennel seeds and kari patta. Cool and grind roughly. Bring mustard oil to smoking point in a wok. Cool bring back to medium heat....

Marinated Taro Root

A marinated snack that can be used to replace late night bad habit cravings!

8 small taro roots
water
salt
1 cup yogurt, mixed with enough water to submerge roots (add salt)

  1. Wash the taro roots well.
  2. Slightly cut a slit into each root, but not big enough to split the root into two pieces. This will allow the water and marinade to go into the taro root
