Sunday Night Salisbury Steak

Dress up some ground beef, add a tastey gravy and you've got a hearty supper sure to please everyone.

2 cans Beefy Mushroom Soup
1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
Mix thoroughly 1/4 cup of the soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion and pepper. Shape into six patties. In a skillet brown the patties, using the oil if necessary. If your beef is not as lean you may not need the oil at all. Once the patties have cooked for 5-7 minutes on each side, remove any fat that remains. Stir in the remaining soup and water. Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes or until done, stirring occasionally.
