Super Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
183
My dad loves peanut butter and chocolate, so he has always added chocolate chips to peanut butter cookies. He taught me to make these cookies at a young age and I still make them for him today, when I can. We also make them to sell at bake sales for the local Purple Heart Auxiliary and they always sell out.

1 cup butter softened
1 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 package milk chocolate chips
sugar for dipping
1 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 package milk chocolate chips
sugar for dipping
1. Cream softened butter and peanut butter in a large bowl.
2. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar and continue mixing until combined.
3. Add baking soda, baking powder, eggs, and vanilla and continue mixing until combined.
4. Add flour a half cup at a time, mixing after each addition until combined. Dough will be very thick.
5. Stir in chocolate chips.
6. Roll into 1 inch balls (I often roll them all at once for ease)
7. Roll balls in sugar
8. Place dough balls onto a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart and flatten with a fork.
9. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8-10 minutes or until edges are just starting to brown. Let sit on the pan for 1 minute and remove to cooling racks.
