Hearty Polish Hunter's Stew

This recipe can include with pork, venison, beef, veal, and sausage with cabbage, sauerkraut, and mushrooms for a hearty meal. In other words, it's an awesome addition to your late winter repertoire. You can prepare this stew recipe for a large family gathering. You can also add chopped potatoes, carrots and celery to add more vegetables and nutrition to this Polish dish.

2 tbsp vegetable oil
30 oz pork shoulder
1 large onion
2 oz cabbage
15 oz mixed fresh mushrooms
15 oz smoked sausage
17 oz ham hocks
15 oz fresh Polish sausage
25 oz jar sauerkraut
4 oz beer
1 tbsp black peppercorns
(1 tbsp) caraway seeds
2 tbsp dried marjoram
2 tbsp tomato paste
