Hummus with sesame paste

Hummus with sesame paste, or hummus bil tahini, is a delicious mezze from the Middle East region based on chickpeas and sesame paste.

This is a recipe that doesn't contain beans, but tahini instead. So perfect for those who have issues with eating beans. Enjoy your chips or raw veggies dipping in this hummus!

Hummus is one of my favorite go-to quick recipes when guests are coming over...or just for myself on a Saturday afternoon. You can make it at home in less than 5 minutes for about $2!

15 oz can of chickpeas - aka garbanzo beans - drained
1/2 c olive oil
1 Tbsp tahini
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp salt
Additional Variation Ingredients:
1/2 c red bell pepper, roasted and chopped
10 black olives
