Do you love to much on something while watching TV or playing a game of cards? Then you'll simply love these homemade banana chips. Banana chips are a very popular snack in Kerala (South India). These healthy chips make a good tea time snack or any snack, when you want to munch something.

Ingredients:
4 raw bananas
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp salt mixed in half a cup of water
oil for frying (for authentic taste, use coconut oil)

Directions:
-Add water and turmeric powder powder in a large pan and keep aside.
-Peel the bananas and immerse them in turmeric powder and water mixture for 15-20 minutes.
-Slice the bananas into thin round slices.
-Dry the sliced pieces on a baking sheet or on a kitchen tissue.
-Heat oil on medium heat in a deep frying pan.
-Fry the banana slices without overcrowding. Give it an occasional stir, so that they don't stick together.
-After it is half done (8-9 mins), minimize the flame and add the salt water solution and immediately close the pan with a lid. Remove the lid after a couple of minutes.
-When bubbling stops, turn the heat to medium and fry the banana chips on each side till they are crispy.
-Remove the chips from the pan, spread them on a tissue paper and store them in an air-tight container.
-Serve and munch on...
