The best pie EVER! Like eating a candy turtle just in pie form. Delicious!!

1 pie crust, baked according to package directions
1 bag (11 oz.) caramels
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 bag (16 oz.) pecan halves
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter
