Walnut filled muffins

Found this recipe a long time ago.

2 1/4 c walnuts ( about 8 ounce) toasted
2 T sugar
1/8 t salt
1 T orange juice
2 c all purpose flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 c butter softened
3/4 c sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c orange juice
1/3 c milk
1 T oil
1 recipe frosting
Line 12 muffin cups with bake cups. In food processor finely grind nuts with 2 T sugar and salt. Add 1 T orange juice. Process until combined. Using a level tablespoon shape some nut mixture into 12 balls set aside. Combine flour baking powder, sode, set aside. Beat butter with mixer for 30 seconds. Beat in 3/4 c sugar. Beat in eggs, orange juice, milk and oil on low until combined. Gradually add flour mixtture. Beat just until combined. Spoon half of batter into cups. Top with walnut balls then remaining batter. Bake 350 for 20 minutes or until top spring back when touched. Cool in pans 5 minutes. Frosting. Beat 1/2 c softened butter, 1/4 c whippig cream, 1/2 t finely shredded orange peel until combined. Beat in 1 1/2 c powder sugar. Spread on muffins.
