Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

On old college roommate loved to make these for us.

3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups of wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 bag of chocolate chips (we have tried both semisweet and milk chocolate chips and we all like milk chocolate chips better)
Cream together sugars, butter, vanilla and egg. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough may be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips. Place in an ungreased pan and cook for 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
